JOE BLOCK OPEN HEART TRIO W/SHABNAM ABEDI | FRI NOV 1 | 7:00PM & 9:30PM

Rising star pianist and composer Joe Block returns to his hometown of Philadelphia to perform at South for two nights with his dynamic trio and special guest vocalist Shabnam Abedi. Abedi and Block, who met during their studies at Juilliard, have become close collaborators and are celebrating the release of their 2024 debut record “Love Shadows”. 

A highly sought after soprano and recent addition to The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, Shabnam Abedi received her Master’s Degree from Juilliard in Jazz Studies making her Juilliard’s first South-Asian American jazz voice graduate. She is a versatile artist with a reputation for high-level music making in a wide variety of genres.
